I thought the dry humor was genius and I appreciated the fact that I was watching a show basically made for me and everyone else in my generation who grew up watching this show. Plus, Mark Hamill is just fantastic with whatever comes his way!Įven though this is a reboot of sorts, this show is clearly meant for fans of the original series. It’s no secret that I absolutely love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Game of Thrones so to discover that both Sarah Michelle Gellar (Teela) and Lena Headey (Evil-Lyn) were on the show was a dream come true. Is it worthy of your next watch? Let’s find out… The Pros: Images courtesy of Netflix Masters of the Universe: Revelation seems like a dream come true for fans of the original series, but there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the new series. **If you enjoyed this blog, I would love it if you would click the follow button on your way out to subscribe. Thanks so much for reading and happy viewing!Ī harmless night of fun turns deadly for six college friends but the game has only just begun. I hope you enjoyed the review and feel free to post your own thoughts and theories on Masters of the Universe: Revelation (Part 2) in the comments section below. Part 2 blew part 1 out of the water and then some! I could not stop watching this show and I had to watch all five episodes in one sitting. So am I in or out? Images courtesy of Netflix I didn’t really mind it because the pacing was done really well and it felt like a movie, but there was a lot going on and a lot to paying attention to. This isn’t necessarily a con, but maybe we could have benefited from six episodes to give enough time to everything. Even though this is technically a series, it felt like a movie and I loved every second of it! The Cons: Images courtesy of Netflix I was so excited for some of them and they really emerged with perfect timing to keep us fully invested. There were some really great reveals and twists in part 2. Mark Hamill was fantastic as always and I was so beyond impressed with Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn. There was a lot going on in these episodes, but I appreciated that the dry humor was still present because it really elevated the series and kept it truly fun and entertaining. It was about them embracing who they are, realizing that they still have time to make an impact on their own terms. It wasn’t just about them defeating the great evil. Each character went through an important journey of self-discovery and we even got to learn more about their past, which helped me connect to them even more. I thought that part 2 did an excellent job with this. Masters of the Universe: Revelation part 2 doesn’t hold anything back as it continues a familiar plot while creating something new and relevant in the process.
